Advanced Deploy Schedule

Advanced Deploy Schedule lets you configure a per-environment weekly schedule when deploys are allowed and certain dates when deploys are not permitted. Cancelled deployments are automatically rescheduled to be deployed at the nearest time possible. This ensures that automated pipelines are not deploying to production in the middle of the night or on Christmas Eve.

Weekly schedule

  • You can find view and edit Advanced Deploy Schedule configuration by clicking the Other button in deployment environment configuration.
  • Advanced Deploy Schedule lets you define a weekly schedule when deploys are allowed.
  • After adding or editing configuration make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Excluded dates

  • Advanced Deploy Schedule lets you define specific dates when deploys are not permitted.
  • The format is dd:mm (day:month), e.g. 24.12 would be Christmas Eve.
  • It’s useful for public holidays, the Summer Days of your company and any other dates when developers are probably out of office and deploys shouldn’t run.
  • Since some of the public holidays change over the years ,the list of excluded dates should be checked at least once a year.
  • After adding or editing configuration make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Rescheduled deploy message

  • If a deployment starts when it is not supposed to, then it will be stopped and rescheduled to be deployed at the nearest time possible.
  • A message is added to deployment log  informing you that the deployment has been stopped and rescheduled.

Cancel a rescheduled deploy

  • If a future deployment has been scheduled by Advanced Deploy Schedule then it will be shown in “Scheduled future deployments” section.
  • You can cancel this future deploy by checking the corresponding checkbox.
  • Make sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
